All staff possess a current enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure. Weeny Boppers has £5 million Public Liability and £10 million Employer’s Liability insurance provided by one of the industry’s leading companies, AXA Insurance UK plc.
Karen Davidson qualified as a Social Worker in 1989. She has designed and delivered a wide variety of training in both Social Work and Education, including staff training; anti-bullying and peer mediation in schools, social and active listening skills, ESOL for children and TEFL for adults. Karen holds current registration as a qualified Social Worker on the General Social Care Council. She has an up to date certificate in 'Awareness of Child Abuse & Neglect' awarded by Bradford Safeguarding Board.
After leaving West Yorkshire Probation Service in 2006 Karen trained with Kindermusik International, the world’s leading provider of music and movement education. She taught Kindermusik for a year before founding Weeny Boppers. The business now provides numerous classes in community venues as well as in Primary Schools, Children’s Centres and Nurseries.
Karen has a long-standing interest in music and learnt piano and guitar as a child. She currently lives in Oakworth, Keighley and is mum to Amy and Lucas.
Sharon Dobson joined the Weeny Boppers team in May 2010. She has 11 years experience of working in Childcare and 6 years experience as a children’s activity leader for Girl Guiding UK.
Sharon is an Approved Chaperone for North Yorkshire County Council and holds a recognised Child Protection certificate as well as a First Aid Certificate awarded by First Response. Sharon has worked with pre school children and volunteered for many roles, including at the May school of Dance, Glusburn Youth Theatre and Glusburn Primary School as a parent helper.
Sharon lives in Sutton-in-Craven, Keighley and is mum to Aliza, Joshua and Tamara.
